When I opened Google one day searching for a sustainable hair tie with a fun and colourful style I came up wanting more... 3 years later and I never would have imagined I'd end up founding my own Company, but that's just what happened!

In 2020 I founded The Good Hair Tie Company with a simple mission: create a more sustainable Hair Tie that everyone can use.

Originally from the South Coast of the UK I moved over to Perth, WA 3 years ago at the same time as launching The Good Hair Tie Company.

A trained Cameraman with a hunger for travel and adventure, I found myself with my wings clipped so to speak due to illness.  A trip to Kenya left me with a chronic case of Lyme Disease which I continue to battle.

With more time at home and my hair getting longer and longer it was time to throw myself into my passion for the great outdoors and reducing our impact on the environment.  The Mission: to create a sustainable Hair Tie to be proud wearing in your hair or on your wrists. As well as having a Hair Tie that wouldn't cut off the circulation to your hands and leave you with a red ring around your wrist.

Inspired by travel around the globe, each set of hair ties brings some colour and culture into your day to day lives.  We're proud to also be supporting Indigenous artists with the Dreamtime set, in which the artists receives 5% of each sale.

We are proudly teamed up with Eden Reforestation Project and every order we receive a tree is planted in Madagascar to help offset our carbon footprint.  We want to continue our efforts in sustainable production and delivery moving forward to lessen the impact of the products we use on the planet.
